“Our mission is simple: to bridge the inequality of opportunity by helping more women acquire useful skillset to get well-paid jobs in technology.”
The Female Designer Movement is a non-profit initiative created with the mission to discover and expand opportunities for as many women as possible by training and empowering them for free with graphics design skillsets, thereby increasing the population of women in Tech.
Ever since the inception of the initiative in January 2018, TFDm has held 4 training sessions across Lagos, Ibadan, Akure, and Monrovia (Liberia), training no fewer than 3000 women. The trainees are part of the larger TFDm community, where they continually receive support as they grow in the Design field.
How you can support
Planning and organizing a TFDm event is a big endeavor. The biggest barriers to education are cost and accessibility. Donations are appreciated by individuals who wish to help with actualizing the goal of increasing the population of women in the Design and Tech industry.
Partnerships
If you are passionate about reducing the gender gap in the Design and Tech industry, then join me in bringing the TFDm experience to your community. I am open to working together with individuals who share my goal and are willing to help organize events, training sessions, and other TFDm programs.
